Hi guys! My story begins right after graduating college at 22 years old as a marketing major. I right away found a job that shoved me deep into a cubicle that I couldn’t escape from. After 6 months of feeling lost and unsure what I was doing with my life. I mustered up the courage to quit and begin learning about myself. I began tearing down all my comfort zones and solo backpacking to places around the world in search of answers to a simple question “What is happiness”? 6 years down the line, I have backpacked to over 30 countries, some solo and some with friends. I have gained experience and confidence when it comes to traveling. I am now ready to begin sharing these answers that I have gathered with all of you.

One of the most eye-opening answers that I found was that moral emotions such as gratitude, compassion, and altruism are some of the key ingredients to happiness. The only way to confirm this was to see it for myself. One way to practice these emotions was by constantly being mindful of them. What better way to practice mindfulness than to meditate. This is when I turned meditation into one of my biggest hobbies that I have been practicing ever since.

With the practice of mindfulness and experience of traveling, I came up with a style of travel that allows the backpacker to fully dive into a country and its culture. Unlocking the full potential of exploration through a country. I call this style mindful traveling. The whole website is based on this concept. The guides, tips, and tools that I provide to you here contain methods and techniques that I believe will give you the best mindful travel experience possible.

Hello everyone. I am a minimalist, artist, volunteer, and traveler. I come from a very conservative country called “Philippines”. Here you have to follow a blueprint that society creates for you or you’ll be labeled a failure. I chose the latter.

When I was younger I was always searching about the purpose of my life and how to find happiness. What helped me find myself was solo backpacking and volunteering in Asia. Traveling changed me a lot and helped me to become an open-minded person. After working for 7 years in the engineering industry I took the risk to leave my job and pursue sustainable farming in my hometown. On top of that, I slowly began to practice my natural talent in drawing and painting. I realized how creative I was in many ways because of that. I learned how to cook healthy and prepare beautiful meals. I met people that motivated me to practice yoga, meditation, and live a simple lifestyle through farming. I am not a professional or some kind of travel guru. Therefore, some of my articles may not be for everybody. Some will agree and some will disagree, but my goal here is simple:

To spread awareness and help people become aware of certain topics that usually tend to be avoided talking about. To share raw stories that could inspire you to leave your comfort zone. To share tips and guides about places that you may want to visit one day. To give you an idea of what a sustainable lifestyle means.

Maybe you are wondering if I already found the answer to my questions. Well, there are definitely a number of things that I discovered on my journey. Which wouldn’t have been possible if I had never taken that initial first step. You’ll just have to read my articles to see what some of the answers I discovered were!
